Welcome to the official website of Grampian Police Scotland Pipe Band.

Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, the band is led by Pipe Major Pamela Whyte and leading drummer Mike Haggart. The band includes police officers, support staff and members of our communities from all over the region and further afield.

Grampian Police Scotland Pipe Band is proud to appear and perform throughout the country.

Together we are committed to a long term partnership intent on protecting our musical heritage and playing our music within communities locally, nationally and internationally.

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

Participating in the Aberdeen City Remembrance Day Parade is always the most important engagement of the year for Grampian Police Scotland Pipe Band.  This year’s Parade was particularly poignant in that at 11am on Sunday 11th November it was exactly 100 years since the armistice that brought closure to the First World War, a conflict in which over 16 million people died. Band ‘Sings’ For Its Super!!!

The annual Grampian Police Retired Staff Reunion was held at Aberdeenshire Cricket Club during the evening of Friday 5th October and as usual, Grampian Police Scotland Pipe Band was invited to entertain the gathering. Band Manager, Alex Simpson undertook the role of ‘Welcome Piper’ and played for guests on their arrival.  Alex, himself a retired staff member, stirred a few memories by donning his old Band kilt made from Black Stewart tartan.  The Band’s current
