2017 Quartets Competition
The Grampian Police Scotland Pipe Band made an excellent start to the 2017 competition season at the RSPBA North of Scotland branch quartets competition in Huntly on Saturday 18 March, winning the grade two competition and placing 3rd in the grade one contest.
Speaking after the competition, Pipe Major Pamela Whyte said “today’s strong performance shows that the hard work and dedication of both the pipe and drum corps over the winter months has paid off – we’ve made tremendous progress, and I know that this solid start to the season is only a precursor of things to come. We’re looking forward to the rest of the 2017 season, and the whole band is excited to build on today’s work and deliver further outstanding performances.”
