Aberdeen Highland Games were held at Hazlehead Park on Sunday 18th June and attracted a bumper audience of over 8000.  The Games’ Pipe Band Competition proved to be a real test for all the participating musicians.  Varying temperatures and overhead conditions presented considerable challenges in trying to produce the desired sound.

Pipe Sergeant Blair Milne said, “Everyone had to give 100% throughout the day to ensure we were competitive.  It was not the best delivery of our Medley   this season but we did enough to impress the Judges.  We are all very happy with the result which comes just 6 days prior to the European Pipe Band Championships at Forres”.
