Despite playing a good performance the Judges did not place the band in the top 6 so they did not move on to the final. The performance from the competition can be seen at in the video below.

Speaking after the contest Pipe Major Pamela Whyte said “I am really proud of the effort, dedication and commitment that all band members have put into this season. While we were extremely disappointed not to progress to the final at the world pipe band championship, we put on an excellent performance against some really talented bands. Our aim this season was to get the band back on the prize list and we achieved that twice at the European and Scottish Pipe band championships in addition to winning every local grade 2 competition we entered. We are now determined to make the next step and become regular prize-winners at all the major competitions next season”

The band will have a short break and will start the preparations for the 2018 competition season in September. If you are interested in joining the band the please  contact us
